I have always been involved in sport and still compete in hockey and horse riding events. I enjoy the challenges that sport and exercise offer and have been fortunate to have had experiences in a range of sports including gymnastics, athletics, Gaelic football, watersports and, more recently, I’ve completed two marathons.
I have been employed in the academic side of sport for nearly 10 years and this has helped me to keep up with changes within the wider sporting industry but working with clients on an individual and group basis has given me an opportunity to put my knowledge into practice. Seeing and helping people achieve their goals, whether that be losing weight, gaining strength, improving mobility or focusing on a sport specific fitness goal, is really satisfying and it is great to be a part of their fitness experience.
My aim as a trainer is to help people reach their full fitness potential and enjoy it so that it becomes a lifelong journey.
